Fruit of the Spirit Faithfulness 7 Can You Lean On Me?

I traveled down a lonely way, yet friends were all around,

Their smiles, prayers and sweetness, helped me stand my ground.

Yet, something else was missing, way down deep inside,

It was nothing money could purchase as I waded in the tide.

Waters came upon me like the oceans’ mighty waves,

The sand I was standing in, flowed under my feet giving way.

It was then I called upon Him, my Savior and my Lord-

He answered with a promise, “Together these waters we will ford.”

His FAITHFULNESS then taught me, the true meaning of the word;

Reliable, trustworthy, never failing when He I thought He could.

But Oh, His FAITHFULNESS showed me in my life,

He can be leaned and depended on, through any type of strife.

What He desires in return from me, is to follow in His ways,

Mimic His true FAITHFULNESS throughout my every day!

Learn to be reliable so others in my life can see,

It’s ONLY all about Jesus and nothing about me!
