Each moment on the paths we walk,
Sometimes alone or we’ll meet someone and talk,
Seeing faces often of others with smiles in vain,
When in reality, experiencing so much pain.
Then I will sit and watch others interacting,
In conversation or in silence, some in overacting.
A couple at a table, with pain on their faces,
A family laughing together, all in the same place.
My brothers and my sisters, often got in spats,
Some calmly ended, while in others we fell flat.
Some with angry words, and others in kidding tones,
Some in loving kindness and others in hate alone!
Why do I paint these pictures when some seem so negative?
Why do I bring up pain and joy amongst relatives?
Why do disagreements arise when in truth we just want peace?
Why does love seem to be pushed aside when hate should be ceased?
We live in a world where the answer is, what it’s always been,
Jesus Christ the Savior, the peacemaker and our dearest friend!
We need to know without Him, this world is in dire straits,
Without our Lord and Savior, people will live in hate!
As Christians we should live our lives for all to see,
That Jesus makes a difference and from hate sets us free!
Our job is to walk in paths of righteousness, loving those around,
Encouraging others to know of His forgiveness, no longer to sin be bound!
I Corinthians 13:13, “And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
